Last night, I had the pleasure of providing the music for a very special occasion – the diamond wedding celebration of Margaret and Malcolm Stewart. Sixty years together is an incredible milestone, and it was truly an honour to be part of such a memorable evening.
The room was filled with family and friends, all gathered to celebrate the love and life that this wonderful couple have shared over the decades. The atmosphere was warm, joyful, and full of laughter – the perfect setting for music to bring everyone together.
I prepared a varied programme for the evening, blending classic love songs with uplifting favourites that got toes tapping and heads nodding. It was wonderful to see so many guests joining in, singing along to familiar tunes, and sharing stories from the couple’s journey together.
A highlight for me was watching the smiles on Margaret and Malcolm’s faces as they sat surrounded by loved ones, clearly touched by the occasion and the music. There’s something timeless about live performance in a room full of people celebrating love – it creates moments you simply can’t capture any other way.
As the night drew to a close, I felt grateful to have played a part in such a special celebration. To perform for a diamond wedding anniversary is something I won’t forget – it’s a reminder of how powerful music can be in marking life’s most precious moments.
