A Childhood Revival: Rupert and the Frog Song

There’s a certain charm to a quiet evening, where there’s little to do but sit at the organ and let inspiration guide you. No pressure, no setlist—just me, the keys, and the question: What shall I play next?

I found myself digging through my archive of sheet music, flicking through pages of forgotten favourites and long-lost treasures. That’s when I came across something I hadn’t seen—or heard—for years: Rupert and the Frog Song.

Instantly, the memories flooded back. I used to have the film on VHS, and even the accompanying book. As a child, I was mesmerised by the animation and that beautifully uplifting song, We All Stand Together. It was part of the soundtrack of my early years.

Inspired by this unexpected find, I decided to bring it back—but with a twist. I’ve reimagined it as an orchestral piece, carefully arranged and brought to life on my Yamaha Tyros 4 Organ Setup. It felt only right to give this tune a fresh new voice while staying true to the spirit that made it so special.

You’ll be able to hear this rendition very soon, and I hope it brings a smile to your face—whether it’s a childhood memory for you too, or something new to discover.

Come and join me in this little revival as We All Stand Together once again.
