Well today has been one of those extremely emotional days when you have to say goodbye in an earthly sense to a loved one.
A few weeks ago I wrote about my beloved godmother Auntie Lilian. Today we said our final goodbyes to her at a beautiful service at the Sedgemoor Crematorium. Its a time to reflect and remember the good times that you had and sometimes you even find out something you didn’t know.
It’s also a time for family and friends to come together. Those that you don’t see so often. I know having been coming to Somerset to visit family I have made many lovely friends here especially around Woolavington and surrounding areas where my Auntie Lilian is & Uncle Aidan used to live.
I know for sure that that I willl continue to visit in the years to come.
The service today was lovely led by the Bridgwater Funeral Services and it was perfect. We listened to some beautiful music that Auntie Lilian used to enjoy. She was a lover of musicals so we listened to some music from some of her favourite musicals. Greatest Showman & Cats. She was also a lover of the music of Andre Rieu. The Rose was the perfect piece of music.
After the service we went to Rich’ Cider Farm to continue to share our memories of Aunite Lilian. We enjoyed a beautiful buffet and another opportunity to share our memories of her with our family and friends.
Ive shared the order of service below. I’ll never forget her she will always be in my heart, in my prayers and in my music.
