Supporting the Lancastrian Theatre Organ Trust: My Work on Their Website

For the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of working with the Lancastrian Theatre Organ Trust (LTOT)—an organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the magic of theatre organs. As a designer and developer, I’ve helped shape their online presence, ensuring that their rich history and ongoing work are accessible to enthusiasts worldwide.

Designing the LTOT Website

When I first began working with LTOT, the goal was simple: create a website that not only showcased the Trust’s mission but also served as a hub for theatre organ lovers. This involved designing a site that was visually engaging, easy to navigate, and packed with valuable information about the Trust’s work, events, and theatre organs in general.

The website became a space where visitors could learn about concerts, restoration projects, and the history of theatre organs. But as LTOT’s community grew, so did the need for something more—an exclusive space for dedicated members.

Developing a Member-Exclusive Area

More recently, I’ve been focused on expanding the site’s functionality by creating a private members’ area. This space is designed to offer exclusive content to LTOT members, enhancing their experience and providing a deeper connection to the organization. Some of the key features I’ve been working on include:

– A Subscription Magazine Service – Members can now access digital copies of LTOT’s magazine, ensuring they stay up to date with news, articles, and historical features about theatre organs.

– Exclusive Information & Resources – This area includes special content that isn’t available to the general public, giving members an inside look at ongoing restoration projects, behind-the-scenes stories, and archival materials.

– A Secure, Easy-to-Use Platform– Accessibility was a major focus. Members needed a seamless experience when logging in, navigating the site, and accessing their exclusive benefits.

Looking Ahead

The work doesn’t stop here! As LTOT continues to grow, I’m excited to explore new ways to enhance the website —whether through interactive features, expanded archives, or improved communication tools for members.

Being part of this project has been incredibly rewarding. Theatre organs are a beautiful and important part of our musical heritage, and helping the Lancastrian Theatre Organ Trust connect with its supporters online has been an honor.

If you’re passionate about theatre organs and want to support the LTOT’s mission, consider becoming a member and experiencing the new exclusive content for yourself!
